Kent Art Teachers Network (KAT)

KAT is an independent informal network, run by teachers, for teachers. The network is inclusive, welcoming colleagues from all phases, teachers and non-teachers, state and independent sectors. Meetings are held as twilights, with the agenda being set by network members. The aim is to share skills, information, resources and to socialise in relaxed, inspiring surroundings. We hold meetings each term across the county, led by teachers from local schools.

Oxford Art Teach (OAT)

OAT is a new network for art teachers in Oxfordshire and its region.

We are composed of art teachers in the maintained and independent sectors, and art educators in gallery, museums and teacher training. Our aims are to:

  • Build a collaborative learning community and encourage shared support.
  • Disseminate information about the current art and wider education climate, whilst promoting debate.
  • Link partners with NSEAD and ‘engage’ and other regional organisations.
  • Provide a forum for sharing good practice.

We plan to meet regularly once a term for twilight sessions and to hold occasional symposiums.
