Join the National Society for Art and Design in Education (NSEAD) and educators from the Fitzwilliam Museum and the University of Cambridge Museums for a day of creative exploration, guided visits of Real Families: Stories of Change and Black Atlantic: Power, People, and Resistanceand a chance to hear about APPG Art Now inquiry.

Reflective Paper Twists: Disrupting the Colonial Net

Led by NSEAD President Marlene Wylie and Clare Stanhope from ARAEA in Black Atlantic: People, Power, and Resistance

Everyone is enmeshed in the colonial fabric and we must all work to unravel it, but we must all do so based on who we are and how we are twisted into its netting. (Chalmers: 2017, 112)

 

An invitation to undertake internal work through engagement with colonial objects and to engage in creative responses which encourage personal and collective reflection and questioning.
