Are you an NSEAD member currently in your ECT year? Registration is now open for the Mind the Art Gap (MTAG) programme, a tailored series of subject specific training to support your professional development as a newly qualified Art Educator.
Course Overview
FREE to NSEAD ECT members, the MTAG programme will provide a safe community space for early career teachers through a mixture of on demand content, online events and a social network to share ideas, research and better practice.
This course is for you if….
- You are an ECT looking for subject specific training as an Art Educator
- You want specialist support from experienced Art Educators to build the skills and knowledge you need to feel confident in the art classroom
- You are looking for practical, usable training that supports your already busy workload
- You want to connect with the wider art education community and fellow ECT teachers
Course sessions

The programme is split into on-demand content and live sessions find out more about each session:
On demand sessions:
These sessions are delivered through a series of videos and resources available to study at your own pace, at a time that works for you.
Online sessions:
These sessions are live, hosted on zoom, key content will be recorded but active participation is encouraged.
What is included?
This is an NSEAD blended course. The programme will consist of several e-learning lessons (available to study at your own pace at a time that works for you) and live online sessions (through zoom) hosted by course facilitators, providing participants the opportunity to network with peers, take part in workshops, share ideas and ask for advice.
