This 30-minute session will include a make along creative workshop exploring symmetry and discuss how primary teachers can provide practical, easy-to-implement strategies and activities for the classroom.
NSEAD’s Sophie Leach was joined by experienced primary teacher and author, Adele Darlington.
Adele has been a primary school teacher for over 20 years. She has vast experience in Key Stage 1 and Early Years but has also taught in all year groups. Her role as an art SLE (specialist leader) sees her support other schools with their art curriculum, environment and lesson delivery. Adele also delivers the art and design element of ITT courses and speaks at conferences on the subject too. She is extremely passionate about encouraging children to follow their dreams and believes they all deserve a high-quality, varied art education.
Adele has written for Teach Primary magazine and has been a freelance resource creator for the BBC, Premier League and Penguin.
