Teachers' notes for the student project
This unit is written in the form of teachers' notes for the student project as an introduction to print-making from the built environment.
Introduce the project by discussing architectural qualities with examples from the resource material and providing an opportunity to relate to first-hand examples of local buildings or the school itself.
Encourage pupils to consider architecture within certain areas, which might be done through three groups; (i) domestic (including pupils' homes, flats, mansions and estates), (ii) public (including general examples of large scale buildings including schools); (iii) religious (including chapels and churches).
