This unit of work shows how First level students (P2 and P4) identified different features of buildings in the surrounding environment and in photographs and made sketches.
They use these sketches to make an initial ‘abstract cityscape’. Learners look at this first version and compared it with the detail in their initial sketches to identify areas that need improving. They look at particular architectural features such as windows, roofs and doors. Based on evaluation learners improve their artwork and peer assess the work of another learner
